Jump into Cross Stitch Book

Hi stitching friends! Sally from Caterpillar Cross Stitch mailed me her brand new book - Jump into Cross Stitch! It is fabulous!  I love to stitch Sally's designs because her patterns are always full color and so easy to read/follow.

The book photography is stunning ... seriously gorgeous! Plus all size patterns are full color - my favorite! For the beginner stitcher the book includes cross stitch basics/instructions - fabrics, thread count, floss, needles, hoops, reading the pattern, starting and finishing stitching and making a cross stitch  - so much fabulous information! 

I'm going to stitch Into the Wild project first as my family loves to camp.

• Fabric Choice - 14 count aida, 16 count aida or 28 count evenweave – all white in colour by Zweigart.  * I ordered the 28 count evenweave. If you are new to stitching - I would recommend an Aida fabric.
• DMC needle
• Carlos the Caterpillar thread holder - soooooo helpful for staying organized and preventing tangled threads
• DMC floss in 14 shades

I chose to order the full Hello Deer Kit along with the adorable robin needle minder because it's so cute! I love how Caterpillar Cross Stitch kits come with pre-cut DMC threads already on a floss card - so convenient and easy! I much prefer using a floss card compared to "bombinating" my DMC threads. The fabric is also by Zweigart - high quality!

Every 2 weeks, Caterpillar Cross Stitch releases 1 section of the mystery Hello Deer SAL. This breaks down a larger pattern into smaller pieces so that you can finish in time for this Winter!

Part 2 - 12th October 
Part 3 - 26th October
Part 4 - 9th November
Part 5 - 23rd November
