The Timber Quilt uses all (42) 10" squares in a 10" Stacker. Plus the Timber Quilt is block based, so you can easily adjust the size of the quilt by making more or less blocks. Each Timber block requires one 10" x 10" square.

Sewers Club - Linen Double Pocket Side Bag

Today I'm sharing the Linen Double Pocket Side Bag, which is the Sewers Club May project! This is one of my favorite projects! It is the perfect bag when you just want to carry your essentials - it's compact and fabulous!

All of the supplies you need to make the Linen Double Pocket Side Bag are included in the Sewers Club Box - including an awesome instructional video! I highly recommend watching the video before starting your project as it is full of helpful tips! I like to watch the video and sew along - it's easy to pause and rewind/rewatch a step if needed!

Let's take a look at the Sewers Club - May Box  Contents:
  • (2) 10" x 44"cuts of Floral and Harmony Linen by Ghazal Razavi for Figo Fabrics
  • Zippers and Hardware
  • Fusible Fleece
  • Gutermann Sew-All Thread
  • Unique Home Dye Catcher
Add on Notion: 45mm Comfort Cut Rotary Cutter

Don't worry if you missed the May Box as Sewers Club has a few boxes left: HERE

Peek of the top zipper, which is perfect for holding your keys. I love that this project has two zippers. Don't worry if are worried about installing zippers as the instructional video shows you EVERYTHING.

Make it Mini Book - Stepping Stones plus GIVEAWAY

A Bit of Scrap Stuff Blog #ABitofScrapStuff #MakeitMiniBook #RileyBlakeDesigns #MiniQuilt #Quilt

Hello! Today I'm sharing my Stepping Stones Mini Quilt from the fabulous - Make it Mini Book by Beverly McCullough.  I love that Beverly added hand embroidery to each of the 13 small quilts in her latest book ... the hand embroidery gives each project the sweetest extra touch! Don't worry if you are new to hand embroidery (like me) as Beverly has included instructions in her book.

Make it Mini Book - available at Fat Quarter Shop or Amazon

A Bit of Scrap Stuff Blog #ABitofScrapStuff #MakeitMiniBook #RileyBlakeDesigns #MiniQuilt #Quilt

I chose to make the Stepping Stones Quilt as I love patchwork and the little squares were perfect for using a variety of prints from Enchanted Meadows - a fabric collection designed by Beverly McCullough for Riley Blake Designs. Yes - Beverly is quite the talented gal!!!

A close up to my hand embroidery is must share as I love this flower ... it's gorgeous. This was my first time stitching this floral design. Plus the coordinating Woodland Birdie needle minder is just so sweet (PS - the needle minder is also designed by Beverly)

I absolutely love to use Sulky 12 wt Cotton Thread for hand embroidery or cross stitch - it's my favorite. I chose to use 2 strands of Sulky 12wt for the hand embroidery.  [ 2 strands of Sulky 12wt Cotton  =  4 strands of DMC ]
