The Sew Sampler Box Membership is full, but don't worry - you can sign up for the waitlist AND most of the items in this month's box are available at Fat Quarter Shop (links above).

Strawberry Jam is a sweet collection by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics! This delightful collection is full of flowers, strawberries, text, and gingham - I LOVE it! Plus the exclusive Starling Pillow is gorgeous!

Walkabout is a lovely collection by the mother-daughter combo: Sherri & Chelsi! I love the colors - of reds, pinks, green, blues, and neutrals! I'm excited to make the Sew Strippy Pillow - it's just my style!

The 5.5” x 9” Wool Pressing Mat absorbs heat, pressing both sides of fabric at the same time! It is made of 100% wool with rounded corners and has .5” density - it is absolutely fabulous! I couldn't believe the difference! I love it and totally need a larger one now!

I have used both of these products previously- so I was excited to receive more! The Cleaning Brushes are AMAZING and work so well for cleaning lint from your sewing machine. I'm always shocked how much lint there is!

The Dritz Storage Tubes are fantastic for storing your needles - the magnet means no more lost needles- hooray! I can't be the only one that has searched for a dropped/lost needle on the couch before someone sits on it ;)

I LOVE this Stay Rooted block so much! It would be amazing as a full quilt - totally adding it to my "must make" list! I highly recommend using the included wool mat - you will be so happy with the flat seams!

I'm using Lollipop Garden by Lella Boutique to sew my Goodness Grows Quilt - I just LOVE this fabric! It is just the sweetest!

Don't forget to sign up for the Sew Sampler Box wait list - each box is wonderful plus an awesome value! I can't wait for the July Sew Sampler Box!

Have a great day and happy sewing!

Miscellany Quilt Details - 60.5" x 79.5"

More about the Cotton + Steel Quarterly Booster Club Bundle - available to purchase here

Ruby Star Society Quarterly Club-

The original Cotton + Steel designers are now designing as Ruby Star Society for Moda Fabrics soooooo Fat Quarter Shop will be changing the club to the Ruby Star Society Quarterly Club in August when their brand new collections ship!!! I'm so excited!!!! The Fat Quarter Shop team will choose 14 fabulous fat quarters  (yes - that's more than the previous club) from the latest Ruby Star Collection plus an exclusive pattern to match the fat quarters! I can't wait for August! You can read more about Ruby Star Society Quarterly Club and sign up to join HERE.

I just loved using the included Sulky Thread to machine quilt my Miscellany Quilt! The thread color popped so nicely from the background fabric! The thread quality was awesome too - I'm usually an Aurifil gal, but Sulky was fabulous too. I did use most of the included spool to machine quilt and bind my quilt - so I would suggest using a different thread to piece your quilt so you don't run out of thread mid-quilting (or purchase an extra spool ;) ).

For my quilt backing - I selected 15 Cotton + Steel fat quarters from my stash and pieced them together! I love a double sided quilt plus I used my stash. The more stash I use - the more space I have for new fabric ;) !

GIVEAWAY TIME -yay!

Ready to win your own February 2019 Cotton + Steel Quarter Booster Club Bundle --- Enter on the GIVEAWAY image on Instagram @ABitofScrapStuff  starting on Tuesday, June 25. Giveaway will end on Friday, June 28th. Thank you so much Fat Quarter Shop for sponsoring this amazing giveaway!!!

Tip Top Quilt - Sew Retro

Today I have a BRAND NEW Quilt pattern to share - Tip Top Quilt! I love "collecting" those adorable 2.5" fabric rolls and now I have a beginner friendly quilt that is perfect for them!

Fat Quarter Shop Quilting Fabrics and Supplies

I was able to make Tip Top Quilt with the newest collection from Sara Davies for Riley Blake Designs - Sew Retro! I love this fun and groovy collection!!! The florals are perfect! The Riley Blake Designs Small Gingham Navy was perfect for the backing!

Tip Top Quilt finishes at 56.5" x 56.5" - is a perfect lap size for being warm on the couch or for taking on summer picnics! Since Tip Top Quilt is a block based pattern - you can easily adjust the quilt size by making more or less blocks. Or choose to add a border with your favorite print - I wish i did that as I am smitten with the pink floral fabric

Tip Top Quilt  - 56.5" x 56.5"

What you need:

Sewing Tip Top Quilt is quick and fun to make as there is very little seam matching - hooray! Plus we are using 2.5" x WOF  pre-cuts - so it is simple to cut!

I received Sew Retro yardage from Riley Blake Designs - so I chose to make my binding scrappy - I love it!

Here is another peek at all the Sew Retro Prints! It is such a fun collection! I love all of the prints especially the top floral ones! Florals are almost always my favorite! The geometric prints complement the florals so nicely too! Sew Retro should be available at your favorite Quilt Shop  in June (any time!).
