Homemade is the newest fabric collection designed by Tula Pink and it is all about sewing and quilting!!! I'm loving the 5 Homemade fat quarters we received - the sewing machines are perfect for fussy cutting! Check out the complete Homemade Collection - here.

Notions

I love all three notions in the Sew Sampler Box this month. Hot pink unicorn pins designed by Tula Pink- YES PLEASE! These are going to look so cute in my pincushion - plus pinning is a must for matching points! The Tula Pink 2.5" x 6.5" Ruler is the perfect size for trimming plus it's PINK and has a grippy texture on the backing in the shape of scissors and heart - total cuteness and usability! I'm already a Wonder Clips fan and needed more so this is perfect (a definite must have)! I love the assorted colors!

Rise and Shine Quilt Pattern

The Rise and Shine Quilt Pattern is exclusive to Sew Sampler Members and is not available for sale separately. This fun geometric quilt includes fussy cutting the sewing machines - yay! It is a generous throw size at 52.5" x 73.5"! Fat Quarter Shop has the finishing kit available - here.

I can't believe this is the final block for the Goodness Grows Quilt Along! This month Sew Sampler members received instructions for Block 12 AND the finishing pattern. I loved sewing this sweet flower! Plus my points match - yay!

I will be sharing my completed Goodness Grows Quilt in a separate post. I have the quilt top assembled - so I need to choose backing fabric and quilt it!!!

I'm using Lollipop Garden by Lella Boutique to sew my Goodness Grows Quilt - I just LOVE this fabric! It is just the sweetest!

Sew Chatty is SEW fun!!! Pillows plus Pillowcases plus a Sassy Sewing Bag

Hi Quilty friends! Today I'm sharing all the fun projects I made with Sew Chatty - a fun and fabulous fabric collection designed by Kelli Fannin for Riley Blake Designs! Kelli has thought of the funniest sewing/ quilting puns - there are sweet ones plus a few sassy ones ;).

Accuquilt Dynamic Promo

I had sew much fun creating with Sew Chatty that I made multiple projects...I just couldn't pick one :)

Let's Chat about my Sew Chatty Pillows (18" x 18")

At first, I was only going to sew one pillow - but then I couldn't just pick 9 favorite sewing puns so I chose 18 - which was hard to do! I wanted the fussy cut Sew Chatty blocks to be the center of attention so I chose Riley Blake Blossom fabric as my background. I designed the 6" finished block size based on Sew Chatty Pun Grid and that I wanted a 18" pillow - it's my favorite pillow size. PS- Hobbs 18" Pillow Forms are my favorite (here).

I'm sharing the measurements below (click on image for a larger version)- so you can make Sew Chatty Pillows too! Just sew (9) blocks for each 18" pillow. They are the perfect decoration for your sewing studio!

Would you pick the same 18 Sew Chatty puns that I did????
What one is your favorite?

For the backing I chose the Sew Chatty Pun Toss -- it is miniature prints of the larger grid ones. The binding is Riley Blake Basics 1/8" Gray Stripe - it's my "go-to" binding.  I buy my zippers in bulk at Amazon and trim to the size I need (here).

Up next is my Sassy Sew Chatty Sewing Bag ( 9" x 11.25")

For my Sassy Sew Chatty Sewing Bag - I chose the more sassy PG-13 sewing puns.  The striped fabric for the bag bottom is Riley Blake 1/8" stripe in denim - PS this is my favorite size stripe for everythingI buy my zippers in bulk at Amazon and trim to the size I need (here).

My free zipper pouch tutorial is here - just change the measurements to fit the size of zipper pouch you want to make.  My Sassy Sew Chatty Sewing Bag finishes at 9" x 11.25".

I even machine appliquéd another sewing pun to the backside.

Sew Chatty Pillowcases (set of 2)

Since I love handmade projects all over my home - I thought we needed new pillowcases! I'm not exactly sure how my husband felt about matching Sew Chatty pillowcases, but he didn't seem to mind when our daughter took his ;) LOL. I knew that my daughter and I would be the Sew Chatty Pillowcase twins.

I used the Sew Chatty Pun Toss in Denim plus Riley Blake 1/8" Gray Stripe and Riley Blake Gray Scissors Tone on Tone for the pillowcase cuff. I used the Pillowcase tutorial by Maxie at A Good Quilt. There are also lots of free tutorials online - just choose one with french seams so the inside will be finished.

Sewing with Sew Chatty was so fun and made me giggle at all the sewing/quilting puns! It should be arriving soon (if not already) at your favorite quilt shop!
