Boo Crew Quilt - FINISHED

Welcome back to week 4 of the  Boo Crew Mystery Quilt with Fat Quarter Shop! This week we are completing the Boo Crew Quilt - yay!!! This sweet and spooky quilt will be used this fall!

I'm sewing my Boo Crew Quilt with Spooky Darlings designed by Ruby Star Society. I love all the fabrics prints as they are perfect for fussy cutting! 

Bonus - Add a Border 

I wanted my Boo Crew Mystery Quilt a bit larger so I added an outer border, which was super easy. I simply cut (4) 4" x WOF strips to attach to quilt center (purple border as shown in pattern). My finished quilt with added border is : 41"x 43"

I love a scrappy pieced quilt backing - so I ordered additional Background, Outer Border, and Binding fabrics to create my quilt backing  ... love it!

Jump into Cross Stitch Book

Hi stitching friends! Sally from Caterpillar Cross Stitch mailed me her brand new book - Jump into Cross Stitch! It is fabulous!  I love to stitch Sally's designs because her patterns are always full color and so easy to read/follow.

Harmony Quilt - Prairie

 

Hi Quilty Friends! I’m excited to share my new Harmony Quilt Pattern featuring the newest collection designed by Lori Holt - - - Prairie. I looooove Prairie so much as the petite prints and colors are perfect! Plus you know I looooove all of Lori Holt's collections!

I love that Prairie has included plum and taffy colors in the collection as I love purple! Just look at the gorgeous prints - do you have a favorite? It's hard to choose!

Don't worry if you can't choose a favorite print as the Harmony Quilt uses 18 prints for the blocks plus I included 2 more prints for sashing and 1 print for the outer border.

Half-Square Triangle Tips:

My two favorite methods for creating perfect half-square triangles for the Harmony Quilt are: 

• AccuQuilt GO! Half-Square Triangle Die  (my favorite as no trimming is needed for perfect blocks) OR
• Bloc-loc Half-Square Triangle Ruler

The Harmony Quilt Pattern is block based so you can easily make the quilt larger or smaller by making more or less blocks! I really enjoyed making this quilt and love it so much!!!

Yes - I made sure all of the ghosts were the correct direction for the ghost ... it was definitely worth the extra time! This ghost is sooooo spooky cute!

• Candle & Ghost Block measures 13.5" x 18.5" 

Candle Flame: I chose to use one fabric print for the candle flame, which I love! If you want this same variation: use the same fabric for H and J and fabric I will not be needed.
