Gingham Plaid Quilt - Summer Picnic

Hello Quilty Friends! Today I'm sharing my Gingham Plaid Quilt (free pattern HERE) with Summer Picnic Fabric! I just love the summery prints of florals, fruits, and dots!  Summer Picnic is designed by Melissa Mortenson for Riley Blake Designs (available HERE)

Choosing just three prints of Summer Picnic for the Gingham Plaid Quilt was hard as all of the fabrics are so bright and happy!

• Gingham Plaid Quilt FREE pattern
• 1.5 yards Floral Fabric - Summer Picnic
• 1.25 yards Red Strawberry Fabric - Summer Picnic
• 1 yard Aqua Fabric - Summer Picnic
• 0.625 yard binding - Summer Picnic
• 3.5 yards backing (or 3.75 yards if directional fabric)  

I love the Summer Picnic Cherry Fabric for the binding! So fun!

I decided to make a striped pieced backing for my Gingham Plaid Quilt as I love a reversible quilt! I've joined the Sweetwater Label Club and love receiving personalized quilt labels each month!

 

I'm ready to take my Gingham Plaid Quilt - Summer Picnic to the park for a picnic.  It's the perfect summer quilt!

All About Christmas designed by J.Wecker Frisch for Riley Blake Designs is perfect for the Good Tidings Quilt. I loved being able to fussy cut the Christmas Typography fabric for the star block centers. The Story  fabric was perfect for the large border.

Gather Up your fabric so you can start cutting on July 7th

• (9) Fat eighths or 1/8 yard cut Star Points
• 1/2 yard * Star center [* 1 yard if fussy cutting fabric *If using Christmas Typography - make sure there is 3 full repeats of CHRISTMAS for fussy cutting.]

• 1/4 yard green patchwork corners
