Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a very easy and cuddly quilt today! I love a quilt that you can make in a day! The secret ..... Tis the Season panel by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics.

The Tis the Season panel is a generously sized at 58" x 73", which is perfect for a lap quilt! Adding Cuddle fabric for the backing makes it so snuggly!

• 3/4 yard Binding: Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics
• 80/20 Batting
• Backing: Cuddle Solids Olive 

Making this quilt is super easy as all you need to do is quilt the Tis the Season Panel plus batting and Cuddle Fabric backing together then bind it! It will be ready for snuggling in a just a few hours!  Can you see how the soft the Cuddle fabric is from the photo?????

As I use my domestic sewing machine (Janome M17) for all my quilting, I only used 2 yards of 60" Cuddle in Olive and just trimmed an inch off the panel. 

This quilt is already a family favorite as my kiddos love all quilts with Cuddle backing plus the size is so perfect for watching movies!

It is a reversible quilt!

Hi Quilty friends! Today I'm sharing my Timber Quilt featuring Yuletide Forest designed by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake Designs.

Yuletide Forest is a classic Christmas collection with winter foliage and deer plus the most awesome coordinating panel that is perfect for making a reversible quilt.

Supplies:

• Timber Quilt Pattern: Pattern Shop or Etsy
• (42) 10" Squares: Yuletide Forest designed by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake Designs
• (1) Yulide Forest Panel (backing) 54" x 65"
• 0.5 yard Binding: Yuletide Forest designed by Katherine Lenius for Riley Blake Designs

The Yuletide Forest Stripe print is perfect for the binding! I love a striped binding!

The Timber Quilt pattern is a beginner friendly pattern that focuses on the prints from the Yuletide Forest collection as no background fabric is needed for this quilt! 

One 10" Stacker contains (42) 10" squares, which is exactly how many squares are needed to make the Timber Quilt. I chose to omit the striped 10" squares and substituted extra deer prints as they are my favorite! So if you also want to substitute a few of the prints - grab a few extra fat quarters of your favorite print. 

As the Timber Quilt is block based, you can easily adjust the size of your quilt by making more or less blocks. Each Timber block requires one 10″ x 10″ square.

Yuletide Forest Panel

The Yuletide Forest panel is 54" x 65" and is the most perfect backing! I did omit the borders from the Timber Quilt Pattern to avoid adding extra fabric to the panel edges. Of course, the Yuletide Forest Panel would also make a quick quilt - just add batting and backing!

Sunrise Quilt Pattern

Quarter-Square Triangle Block and Half-Square Triangle Block Tips

• Tip 1: Make the quarter-square triangle and half-square triangle block a bit larger and trim to size. I love the Bloc-Loc half-square triangle ruler for this method.

• Tip 2: Use the desired size of AccuQuilt GO! quarter-square triangle and half-square triangle die. THIS is my favorite method as it is so quick and no trimming needed

Machine Quilting

I completed the machine quilting with my Janome Embroidery Machine using Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles with the included winter design. It was sooooo easy and looks  perfect! I highly recommend the Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles System. I used Glide 40wt white thread and Superior (Organ) 90/14 Top stitch needle and all the stitches were perfect!

Christmastime Mystery Quilt Along - it's finished

Christmastime Mini Quilt / Pillow 20" x 20"

My Christmastime Quilt is a bit different from the pattern because I wanted to make mine a bit smaller and square so it could be a Mini Quilt or a Pillow! This is an easy change ... keep on reading for details.

Christmastime Mini Quilt / Pillow Version:

To create the smaller 20" x 20" finished size - I made a few easy changes!

Block Changes:

• Holiday Greetings Block- Only make two cards. Block will measure 7.5" x 9.5"
• Wrapped with Cheer Block -  Make top gift and partial middle gift. Block will measure 8.5" x 9.5"

Assembly

• No sashing is required between blocks
• Row 1: Cup of Cheer Block and Holiday Greetings Block  
• Row 2: Hard Candies Block and Wrapped with Cheer Block
• Cut (2) 1.5" x 15.5" side borders (right and left)
• Cut (2) 3" x 20.5" top and bottom borders

Add a zipper

• I love to add a zippered backing so my Christmastime Mini Quilt can also be a pillow!

I just love this Christmastime Pillow! It's perfect for a bit of seasonal decor in my home. Plus my family loves pillows. I like them to be "decoration only" compared to my kids who like to actually use them as pillows. Another benefit for a zippered backing so I can easily wash the cover ;).

Plus if I need a smaller table topper ... I can just remove the pillow insert!

Christmastime Cross Stitch - release 4

I love the Christmastime Stitch sooooo much! It's going to be a favorite of mine! Just one more section to stitch and then I will have it completed! I'm hoping to have it finished before Christmas!
