Serendipity Charity Quilt and Cross Stitch Along - Finished

Hello Friends! Today is the Backing Pattern Release for the annual Fat Quarter Shop Charity Quilt Along  PLUS I'm sharing my fully finished Serendipity Cross Stitch - I LOVE it!!! Here is a peek ... so keep on reading ;) 

Over $80,000 has been raised for Make A Wish of Central and South Texas! I absolutely love the generosity of Fat Quarter Shop and am glad that I able to quilt and stitch along!

Serendipity Backing Pattern Release:

I'm quilting with Smol designed by Kimberly Kight with Speckled designed by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Ruby Star Society / Moda Fabrics.

I like taking the extra time to piece my quilt backs because now I have a double-sided quilt!!!  I love that both quilt sides are fabulous and match! 

I chose to sew my quilt label into the flower block.  PS - I pay for a  Sweetwater label membership as I love having personalized labels mailed to me each month. 

I seriously love my Serendipity Quilt so much! Sampler quilts are always so fun to make as I love the block variety! 

I really love how I used a light fabric for the quilt front backing and the opposite with a navy fabric for the quilt back - so fun! Here is a fun side by side look!

Serendipity Cross Stitch

I wanted my Cross Stitch piece to match my quilt so I chose coordinating  DMC floss. 

Finishing Supplies:

• Smol fabric designed by Kimberly Kight
• Pres-On Sticky Mounting board
• It's Sew Emma finishing tape and cross stitch stickers - LOVE these for a no mess and easy finishing
• Assorted ribbons from my stash/Hobby Lobby

• DMC floss: 166, 316, 823, 807, 931, 3829, 900

The Serendipity Quilt and Cross Stitch Along has finished, BUT you can still donate to Make A Wish directly to Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign HERE. 

Auction Time

If you didn't have a chance to make a Serendipity Quilt - you can bid/purchase a finished quilt made by Corey Yoder or Pat Sloan or Kimberly Jolly. Kimberly is also donating (2) Sewcialites Quilts too!  100% of the sale of these quilts will benefit Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas to support their wish-granting work for children with critical illnesses. The auction is open on Ebay now through Saturday, July 24 at 7 AM CST.

Of course, you can always donate more if you choose! No amount is too small - all donations are appreciated! Hello Friends! Today is Release Six - Happenstance Row for the annual Fat Quarter Shop Charity Quilt Along plus Cross Stitch Along that benefits Make A Wish of Central and South Texas!!! I absolutely love the generosity of Fat Quarter Shop and am glad that I able to quilt and stitch along!

I loved making all these flying geese. To save a bit of time - I did use the AccuQuilt Flying Geese Die2"x3.5" (unfinished) / 1.5" x 3" (finished) to cut my flying geese because I totally love using myAccuQuilt cutting system.
