Summersault Pillows

Hello! Today I'm sharing reversible pillows I made with the Summersault Block Party Multi Panel available at Missouri Star Quilt Company.

This project is so quick because the Summersault - Block Party Multi Panel includes (4) 20" quilt block panels of two butterflies and two months.  I simply quilted all four panels then used my Reversible Pillow Tutorial (here) to finish both pillows.  Super quick and easy!

Supplies for (2) Summersault Pillows

• (1) Summersault - Block Party Multi Panel  by Tamara Kate for Windham Fabric
• 80/20 Batting or Pellon Fusible Fleece
• (2) 22" Zippers
• (2) 20" Pillow Inserts
• Optional: 1.5 yards of fabric for pillow interior 

Day or Night Decor:

For each pillow I used (1) Butterly and (1) Moth panel so the pillows could be reversed appropriately to correct time of day. Now my daughter can decided if she wants Daytime Butterflies or Evening Moths!

When making reversible pillows, I prefer to insert the zipper at bottom of the pillow. This way the zipper is hidden and makes the pillow truly reversible. 

I loved creating these fun summer pillows! They will definitely brighten up your decor!

Peppermint Bark Quilt with Dixie Fabric and Fat Quarter Shop

I'm so excited to share my Peppermint Bark Quilt using Cluck Cluck Sew's Dixie Fabrics from Fat Quarter Shop! I thought it would be fun to use my Dixie fabrics while I anxiously await her new Hello Jane collection (it has purple!!!). I love the Peppermint Bark Pattern from It's So Emma at Fat Quarter Shop! The blocks  are fun to sew and show off the fabrics so well! 

I always enjoying sewing It's So Emma patterns as they are clearly written plus the included pressing instructions will give perfect points! Each block finishes at 14"- which is such a nice size block for quilts, table runners, or pillows! 

For my lap size quilt, I made 9 blocks and enlarged the borders and sashing to 5.5" cut strips.  This made a 62" square size quilt! I stippled the quilt on my home sewing machine...I just love to stipple!
