Halloween Quaker Cross Stitch: Halloween Memories

 

I finished stitching Halloween Quaker from the Halloween Memories book ... I love it! This is the first quaker style pattern that I have finished and I enjoyed each stitch!

Halloween Quaker is a monochromatic stitch so it was a perfect piece for choosing a variegated thread - Classic Colorworks: Argyle Socks (a lovely blend of gray to purple).

Halloween Memories is fabulous book by Susan Ache and published by It's Sew Emma. Included are 9 cross stitch patterns PLUS 6 quilt patterns that can be used for any holiday by choosing different fabric.  Each of the cross stitch designs are smaller designs so you still have time to finish at least one before Halloween!

Frame details: I purchased a solid black 6" x 6" frame from at Amazon and let my 10 year old "distress" the frame with sand paper - she LOVED it!

Bats & Boos Stitch PLUS Stitch-O-Graphy PLUS Stationery Addict PLUS Stitch Quarterly !!!

Hi Stitchy Friends! I'm soooooo excited to share my finished Bats & Boos Cross Stitch.... I LOVE it! I love love love the quilty pumpkins plus quilt block center! It perfectly combines my two hobbies!

I chose to omit the outer border from the Bats & Boo pattern because I wanted my finished piece to be a bit smaller. I think I like smaller stitched pieces the best because then I can fit more on my shelves ;).

Don't worry I'm also stitching other projects too! I enjoy stitching on 28 count evenweave/Lugana, but I also love to have at least one Aida cloth project for the "on the go" because the larger squares are easier to see ;)

Stich-O-Graphy is soooooo fun to stitch as I love stitching words AND stitching words makes it even more fun!!! Seriously so fabulous!!!

I'm using the same fabric for my next project too! I really love the pale gray gingham fabric. The print is light so the floss colors show well, but adds so much instead of plain white fabric.

QSnap and Hoops

A bit about Qsnap Needlework Frames and Hoops. I really like to stitch with either a Qsnap or Hoop as I feel my stitching looks much better. If I'm holding the Qsnap or hoop... I prefer a 5" to  8" size or I find it too larger to hold. If I'm using my stitching stand then I like the larger 10" or 11" sizes.
