The Tis the Season panel is a generously sized at 58" x 73", which is perfect for a lap quilt! Adding Cuddle fabric for the backing makes it so snuggly! 

Supplies

• (1) Tis the Season Panel: Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics
• 3/4 yard Binding: Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics
• 80/20 Batting
• Backing: Cuddle Solids Olive 

Making this quilt is super easy as all you need to do is quilt the Tis the Season Panel plus batting and Cuddle Fabric backing together then bind it! It will be ready for snuggling in a just a few hours!  Can you see how the soft the Cuddle fabric is from the photo?????

As I use my domestic sewing machine (Janome M17) for all my quilting, I only used 2 yards of 60" Cuddle in Olive and just trimmed an inch off the panel. 

This quilt is already a family favorite as my kiddos love all quilts with Cuddle backing plus the size is so perfect for watching movies!

Tip Top Stacked Pillow - JANOME Tutorial

 

Hi  friends! Today I'm sharing a beginner tutorial/pattern for the Tip Top Stacked Pillow on the Janome website.

The Tip Top Stacked Pillow was inspired by the 2.5" width scraps that I had left over from making the Tip Top Quilt (available in my pattern shop). I love creating a "bonus" project with my scraps!

I created the Tip Top Stacked Pillow with my Janome M17 - which is SEW amazing. I absolutely love how perfectly it stitches every time I sew and quilt!

JANOME SUPPLIES REQUIRED

Janome Feet Used:

• 1/4" foot: I love to use the HP 1/4" foot. [ piecing blocks ]
• AcuFeed open toe foot UD [ straight-line quilting ]
• Zipper foot [installing zipper for pillow closure]
• Optional: Overcasting foot M [overcast pillow interior pillow seams]

FABRIC AND NOTIONS REQUIRED

• (16) 2.5” x 4.5” rectangles. Label A
• (32) 2.5” x 2.5” squares. Label B
• 22” x 22” Batting 
• 24” x 24” Pillow front backing *Optional. This fabric will be hidden in pillow interior.
• Backing fabric: Size will depend on preferred method for Pillow Backing Closure
• 18” Nylon Zipper  
• 16” x 16” Pillow Form

I have always wanted to make a full low volume quilt and I love the softness of it! But it is challenging to photograph the lovely light colors!

• (42) 10" squares: (1) 10" Stacker of Hush Hush 3 
• (0.5) yard inner border: Hush Hush 3 fabric collection
• (4) 0.25 yard OR (1) yard outer border : Hush Hush 3 fabric collection
• 0.75 yard binding: Hush Hush 3 fabric collection
• (4) yards backing

The Timber Quilt pattern is a beginner friendly pattern that focuses on the prints from the Hush Hush 3 collection as no background fabric is needed for this quilt! All you need is (42) 10″ squares plus border fabric! Of course, you could always skip the border fabric and just use (1) 10″ Stacker for a slightly smaller quilt!

As this fully low-volume Timber Quilt has a calming feel - I added Cuddle fabric as the backing .... it's soooo soft!

Tip Top Quilt plus Pillow: Homemade

Hi Quilty Friends! Today I'm sharing the Tip Top Quilt featuring the Homemade Collection designed by Echo Park Paper Company for Riley Blake Designs.  Plus keep reading for my bonus pillow made of scraps!

The Homemade Fabric Collection is the perfect late summer /early fall collection with lovely florals, bumble bees, and gingham prints in coral, sage, sunshine, and forest colors. The prints coordinate so wonderfully.

I chose to make the Tip Top Quilt because I wanted a quilt pattern that showcased the fabric colors so well! The Tip Top Quilt is a beginner friendly pattern that uses 2.5" Rolie Polie Strips and a bit of background fabric.

Scrappy Bonus Project .....Patchwork Pillow

After I made my Tip Top Quilt ... I was able to cut 2.5" x 2.5" squares from my scraps and make a matching patchwork pillow! I used (64) 2.5" squares for a 16" pillow. 

I love sewing a coordinating pillow with my scraps!
