GO! Mother's Day Zipper Pouch - free pattern

Hi sewing friends! Today I'm sharing the perfect zipper pouch that is reversible! One side features a sweet Spool Block with an appliqué sewing machine and the reverse is personalized for MOM.  Plus the GO! Mother's Day Zipper Pouch is a FREE pattern - download here.

Sewing a zipper pouch is a favorite project of mine as it is cute and so useful! I also love trying new techniques - such as machine appliqué . I chose to machine appliqué with the blanket stitch on my Janome M7 or you may use the included embroidery designs by AccuQuilt. 

                 

Sewing Time

It is time to gather up supplies so you can make a GO! Mother's Day Zipper Pouch. Approximate 10" x 12"

AccuQuilt Dies:

• GO! Pincushion Die
• GO! 6" Spool Die
• GO! 2" Classic Alphabet Uppercase Die
• GO! 2 1/2" (2" finished) Strip Cutter Die

Fabric: Riley Blake Designs Basics: Kisses and Swiss Dots

• 1/4 yard Dark Pink
• 1/2 yard Medium Pink
• 1/4 yard Pink
• 1/2 yard Light Pink
• 1/4 yard White
• 1/4 yard Light Gray
• 5" x 5" Dark Gray

Other:

• 12" Nylon Zipper - longer is fine as you trim to size
• Heat 'n Bond Lite
• 1/2 yard Pellon Fusible Fleece

The GO! Mother's Day Zipper Pouch is so EASY to customize! I chose to used 4 different shades of Riley Blake Designs Basics: Kisses and Swiss Dots to create a pink ombre effect. But if pink isn't your favorite color - any color would be absolutely fabulous! 

I absolutely LOVE to use AccuQuilt GO! dies for perfect cutting of my fabric. There is zero chance that I could hand cut the cute little sewing machine nor the M O M letters so perfectly.
