Quaker Pumpkin Cross Stitch

Hello Friends! Today I'm sharing a project I made without my sewing machine - what??? I totally love my sewing machine, but it's not too portable - plus my kids might think I'm bit weird if I brought  my sewing machine and a long extension cord to track meets or swim - ha!

I'm so glad I re-discovered cross stitch! I love having a portable stitching project that is calming!

I am a slow stitcher, but it's not about speed for me. I just take my time and enjoy how it relaxes me! I actually finished stitching this piece about a month ago, but had procrastinated fully finishing it as I couldn't find a frame that matched.  So I watched tutorials by Priscilla of the Real Housewives of Cross Stitch and Bow Tutorial by Java Girl Stitches and went for it! I love it! It's the perfect fall decoration piece!

Want to make your own Quaker Pumpkin - supply links below:

Or you can purchase items separately:
I purchased the wood board and ribbon at my local craft store, button maker (at Michaels), and pumpkin (Hobby Lobby).

I just love my Quaker Pumpkin Stitched piece! Finished size of stitching is 7.25" x 7.25" (wood board is 12" x 12")

Have a great day and happy stitching!

  1. Sooo cute - glad you shared this. I'm getting back to cross stitch after many years and I do like it, but hard on the eyes. Did it go together easily for you? Fat 1/4 shop had a review that there was a mistake on the pattern - did you have a problem too? Anyway, I am in no hurry to do it - it really is sweet!
