It was hard to decide which clutch pattern I wanted to make ... but the Sew Beary Lovely Clutch was the winner. Also my 6yo really wants it ;). 

I highly recommend watching the Sewers Club instructional video BEFORE starting - it is full of helpful sewing tips so your project will be easy to make and look amazing!

I decided to quilt my bear face with diagonal diamonds - love it!

The heart zipper pull on the zipper is such the CUTEST detail - love it!!! I'm pretty sure I need lots of these zippers as I want to add them to all of my projects! 

I also really love the added the wrist strap - so handy!

Pure Delight Quilt and Drawstring Bags

Hello Friends! I'm so excited to share my Pure Delight Quilt plus matching drawstring bags!! I absolutely LOVE the positivity with the Pure Delight Fabric collection designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs! The colors are so happy AND there are TWO amazing panels with positive sentiments!

Yes - I totally used the Pure Delight Panel for the center of my quilt! It was so much easier than trying to match all those points :) ! The quality of Riley Blake Designs panels are FABULOUS! Don't worry - I will share my cutting measurements for the quilt!

The Pure Delight Collection also comes with a panel that makes (2) drawstring bags PLUS (3) banners! Keep on reading for more details and supplies!

Now that shared a peek of my Pure Delight Projects ... let's chat in more detail about each project!!!

Pure Delight Quilt 47.5" x 58"

Supplies:

• (1) Pure Delight Quilt Panel designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• 1/2 yard for inner border - Pure Delight designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• (4) 1/2 yard cuts for outer border - Pure Delight designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• 1/4 yard for outer border corners - Pure Delight designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• 1/2 yard for binding - Pure Delight designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• 3.5 yards backing - Blossom Navy on White designed by Christopher Thompson for Riley Blake Designs

Cutting and Assembly Instructions -

1/4" seam allowance

• Pure Delight Panel - Cut 1/4" away from printed block edge. DON'T cut directly on edge of printed panel or when you add your borders - the star points will disappear :(. My cut Pure Delight Panel measures 33" x 43.5".
• Inner Border Fabric - Cut (5) 2.5" x WOF strips. Sew together. Then cut (2) 2.5" x 37"* strips: Top & Bottom Inner Border AND (2) 2.5" x 43.5"* strips: Right and Left Inner Border. Sew right and left inner border strips to panel. Sew top and bottom inner border strips to panel.
• Outer Border Corner Fabric - Cut (4) 5.5" x 5.5" squares
• Outer Border Fabric - Right and Left Outer Border - Cut (2) 5.5" x WOF strips. Sew together. Then cut (2) 5.5" x 47.5"* strips. Sew right and left outer border strips to quilt. For Top and Bottom Outer Border - Cut (1) 5.5" x 37"* strip. Sew (1) 5.5" x 5.5" outer border corner fabric square to each end. Top and Bottom Outer Border measure 5.5" x 47.5"* Sew top and bottom outer borders to quilt.
• Binding Fabric - Cut (6) 2.5" x WOF
• Quilt and bind as desired

* NOTE - Be sure to measure your quilt BEFORE cutting border lengths as your seam allowance may vary. You may need to adjust border length to match your quilt.

Ready to chat about the super cute Pure Delight drawstring bags! My daughter has already taken one... luckily I will share :).

Supplies for (1) Drawstring Bag:

• (1) Pure Delight Banners and Drawstring Bags Panel - Pure Delight Designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• 1/2 yard for drawstring bag lining and bias tape - Pure Delight Designed by Melanie Collette for Riley Blake Designs
• OPTIONAL - Clover Bias Tape Maker 25 (blue one) 1" 

Instructions are printed directly on the panel - so it's super easy! I decided to make 0.5" double folded bias tape for my drawstring bags... love it! The Clover Bias Tape Maker makes it easy and less burned fingers ;). Note - I cut the fabric 2" wide and then folded it to make 0.5" width fabric drawstrings.

I LOVED making these sweet drawstring bags and want to make so many more! I can't believe this was my first time making them!

I really loved sewing these Pure Delight Projects! They fabric is so uplifting and makes me happy!!! I think that sewing should always do that! Now if my kids are being grumpy - I can have them cuddle in this quilt and hopefully turn their frown will turn upside down and "Make Today Awesome!"

Prim & Proper Quilt - Sew Along

Tip Top Quilt - From the Heart

Hello! Today I'm sharing my newest quilt - Tip Top Quilt (pattern here) with the From the Heart Collection designed by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs. PLUS the collection has an amazing panel so I made the the quilt reversible!!! Here's a peek at the From the Heart Collection.

I really love the red and white prints!!! Making two-tone quilts is so fun!!! I chose to add a touch of pink for the sashing of my Tip Top Quilt so the red and white prints stand out!

I really love making the Tip Top Quilt (pattern here)! It's a favorite of mine as it uses (36) 2.5" strips and 1 yard background fabric PLUS makes a lap size quilt 56.5" x 56.5". The blocks are fun to make as it's totally scrappy and only has the one center seam to match in the entire block.

Supplies for Tip Top Quilt - From the Heart 56.5" x 56.5"

• Tip Top Quilt Pattern - Etsy (HERE) or PayHip (HERE)
• (36) 2.5" x WOF strips - From the Heart designed by Sandy Gervais for Riley Blake Designs
• (1) yard back ground fabric - Blossom Baby Pink designed by Christopher Thompson for Riley Blake Designs

• 3.5 yards backing - Bee Basics Heart Red - Designed by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs

I used the tiny floral blossom print for the binding and LOVE it!!! I think this might be my favorite print!

Ready to see the reverse side of the quilt...I LOVE it!

I just love the illustrations!!! Here's a close up.

Cutting instructions that I used to create From the Heart Panel side of my quilt - Be sure to measure your quilt each step BEFORE cutting your borders as yours may vary slightly. CUT to the length of your quilt.

• Panel: Cut  35" x 43.5"
• Inner Border: Cut (2) 2.5" x 43.5" strips (sew to right and left side of panel) and (2) 2.5" x 39" strips (sew to top and bottom of panel)
• Outer Border: Cut (3) 10.5" x WOF strips - sew together - sub cut (2) 10.5" x 47" strips (sew to right and left and side of inner border). Cut (3) 6.5" x WOF strips - sew together - sub cut (2) 6.5" x 59.5". 
• From the Heart Panel Quilt measures 59.5" x 59.5". If you are sending your quilt to a long arm quilter - you will need to cut your outer border strips wider to allow for  extra backing required by long arm quilters.

If you are making the Tip Top Quilt with yardage ... you can easily cut your own 2.5" strips with an AccuQuilt Cutting Machine and AccuQuilt GO! 2.5" strip die OR the Creative Grids Stripology Ruler and rotary cutter.
