Moments Enchanted Stars Quilt

Hi Quilty Friends! I received the brand new Moments Collection designed by Minki Kim for Riley Blake Designs and it is absolutely beautiful! I matched the Moments Collection with Natural Linen for my Enchanted Stars Quilt! I love the texture of the linen plus the Riley Blake Designs Linen is easy to sew with.

I absolutely love making my Enchanted Stars Quilt as it can be made with fat quarters or 10" squares and is a nice lap size quilt ( 64.5" x 64.5" )! I love choosing the Enchanted Stars pattern because it has large stars so it's perfect for showing gorgeous fabric prints that you don't want to cut tiny.

Moments Collection has adorable drawings of a little town, dogs, florals, text, florals, and hexagon print plus the colors are beautiful. It is such a fabulous collection and will be available very soon at your favorite Quilt Shop.

Supplies:

I'm pretty sure sewing the scrappy stars is my absolute favorite part of the Enchanted Stars Pattern! I just love selecting the fabrics for each star.

Tip: Make sure when trimming your finished quilt (before binding) that you trim a bit more than 1/4" away from the points. This will give you sharp points that aren't hidden by your binding. Plus isn't the tiny floral fabric the BEST for binding- I LOVE it!

Just look at the crinkly texture - this quilt is totally ready to cuddle with!

I loved making my Enchanted Stars Quilt with the Moments Collection. The fabric is just perfect! I'm  thinking of my next project using up my scraps as I must use every little last piece of this fabric!

Are you going to make an Enchanted Stars Quilt with Moments or do you have another project planned????

Enchanted Stars- All Hallow's Eve Edition

Happy Fall! I was lucky and purchased a Layer Cake of Fig Tree's All Hallow's Eve (yay- for Moda reprinting this popular collection next spring!)! I just love the fall colors plus it doesn't shout Halloween - just so perfect!

I decided to make a scrappy version of my Enchanted Stars Quilt and I LOVE it! Maybe even more than the original. Scrappy stars just make me happy! So I updated the pattern to include cutting directions for 10" squares - hooray!

Supplies:

I love creating the Enchanted Stars Quilt as the blocks are large so perfect for showing gorgeous prints plus it sews up so quickly. It's definitely a quilt that you can make in a weekend. The large throw size is perfect for cuddling on the couch in the fall/winter or picnics in the spring/summer.

If you make an Enchanted Stars Quilt - please share with me! I would love to see it!

Enchanted Stars Quilt with AGF Trinkets Fusion - NEW PATTERN

I was so excited when Art Gallery Fabrics asked me to design a quilt for their upcoming Trinkets Fusion Look Book (here). We decided that my Enchanted Stars Quilt would be perfect for featuring the fabric collection Trinkets Fusion. The fabrics are absolutely gorgeous and the colors are perfect for fall! Plus the fabrics feel so soft -- I love the quality of Art Gallery Fabrics!

I designed the fat quarter friendly quilt pattern - Enchanted Stars for Trinkets Fusion collection! Since I love the fabric patterns, I wanted to use large blocks so the fabrics could really shine!

Enchanted Stars is a great beginner pattern to learn to sew flying geese! Flying geese are fun and useful blocks to learn to sew! They are used in so many patterns! Don't worry---it isn't too many flying geese blocks, but just enough to learn them well!

These flying geese help build the star blocks....I always love a quilt with stars!

I loved sewing and quilting my Enchanted Stars Quilt! Big block quilts always come together so quickly...yay for fast quilts!
