Bountiful Quilt and Stitch Along - finished

 

Hi Friends! I'm so excited to share my finished Bountiful Quilt and Cross Stitch. I love them both soooooo much!!! PLUS they totally match!

Today the final patterns have been released for both the Bountiful Quilt and Stitch Along Patterns. Even though Fat Quarter Shop's 2023 Charity Quilt and Stitch along is almost finished - you can still donate directly to: Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign.

Let's chat about the Bountiful Quilt first .........

The Bountiful Quilt is absolutely gorgeous! It is a generous lap size quilt at 64" x 64".  I loved making the different blocks each month as the pattern released. So much fun! I used the Bountiful Quilt Kit and a few are still available - here. So join in now! The full printed pattern is included with the kit!

I decided to machine quilt with my Janome M17 embroidery machine. I LOVE it! Yes- it did take forever, but it looks like I had the quilt professionally finished on a long arm machine. But I did it at home! I used Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles (at Fat Quarter Shop)  with Floral 1 design (download on Kimberbell website). 

Let's chat about the Bountiful Cross Stitch .......

I wanted my Bountiful Stitch to be smaller so I used 20 count white Aida with 1 strand of DMC .... love the tiny stitches! I did change a few of the floss colors from the pattern too! 

My stitching supplies:

•  DMC 3328, 761, 353, 352, 3855,745, 3348, 3347, 3811, 3810, 3750, blanc. I chose to change a few of the DMC floss colors and I love them!
• 20 count Aida (I'm stitching one strand over one square)
• Bountiful Thread Box
• Pink Bee Needle Minder
• Gingham Love Thread Bling (floss ring)
• Heartfelt Flossbitties
• 8" x 8" aqua frame from Hobby Lobby

I absolutely love quilting and stitching along with Fat Quarter Shop's 10th Annual Charity Project! I love their generosity!

Bountiful Quilt and Stitch Along

The first release of the Bountiful Charity Quilt and Stitch Along are available today! I'm so glad that I am able to quilt and stitch along with Fat Quarter Shop for the 10th Annual Charity Quilt!

 Fat Quarter Shop offers the Bountiful patterns (quilt and cross stitch) as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation to the Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. From now through August, Fat Quarter Shop will publish a free pattern to download the first Friday of each month! Please consider donating to: Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign.

Bountiful Release One: Basket

This month we are making (2) 24.5" x 24."5 beautiful Basket Blocks. I love these large blocks! The little star block in the basket is the cutest!

• Tip: Take the time to cut your gingham fabric (for basket handle) straight with the printed gingham.

Bountiful Stitch Along Release One is the fabulous border. I haven't stitched my full border  yet as I wanted to start stitching the inside to make sure I counted the border correctly. As I'm using 20 count Aida, I don't want to unpick any counting oops stitching ;).
