Heartfelt Quilt and Stitch Along - Release Three

I'll chat about quilting first ...so if you are only a cross stitcher - just scroll a bit for the stitching information.

It is time for the third release for the Heartfelt Quilt and Stitch Along!!! We are making five of the Darling Blocks.

OVER $75,000 has already been raised for Make-A-Wish, which is amazing!  Fat Quarter Shop has released a bonus Heartfelt Table Runner AND Quilt pattern to celebrate (here) !!!!

As I'm making my Heartfelt Quilt with One Fine Day fabric, I was able to mix and match fabrics until I found my favorite combos! I'm totally smitten with this fabric!

I chose to make each block monochromatic - which I love!

Again this month - I save the trimmed off triangles from the bottom of the heart shape and sewed them together. I will need to trim the bonus half-square triangles to one size once I decide on the bonus project! Be sure to save your scraps!

It is time for the 9th Annual Charity Quilt with Fat Quarter Shop! The way the fundraiser works is that Fat Quarter Shop offers the Heartfelt patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $5 each to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. Or feel free to make a larger, one-time donation of $50. No amount is too small and every bit counts. From February to September, we will publish a new pattern here on the blog on the 1st Friday of each month.

It is time for the third release for the Heartfelt Stitch Along!!! I was excited to stitch the sweet hearts plus stars! I began stitching with my color conversion to the Classic Colorworks Floss, but then decided to change it a bit as I wanted more color (less gray) in my stitching compared to the model. So I'm just choosing my colors per motif, but using the same Classic Colorworks flosses as I list below under supplies.

The way the fundraiser works is that Fat Quarter Shops offers the Heartfelt patterns as FREE downloads during the event for a suggested donation of $20 for the whole cross stitch pattern to our Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas campaign. No amount is too small and every bit counts. From February to August, Fat Quarter Shop will publish a new pattern here on the blog on the first Friday of each month.

Of course you can choose your own fabric and floss to make your Heartfelt Cross Stitch yours! I want mine to coordinate with my quilt so I'm using a different fabric and floss.

  1. Love your blocks - so enjoy the one colour theme you chose for them. I'm still sitting on the fence, deciding how to make baby sized quilts with these blocks. Each design is so special.
