Hello Quilty friends! Today I'm sharing a FREE pattern I designed for AccuQuilt - the GO! Night Star Quilt Pattern (here). I absolutely loved making this quilt! I used the brand new AccuQuilt GO! Setting Triangles 9" Die ... I definitely want all the sizes so I can make all the "on point" quilts without needing to do math ;).
By combining both GO! Qube 8" Mix & Match AND the 8" Corners Companion set- we are able to make these perfect stars with a fun shoe-fly block as a secondary pattern.
I was able use the brand-new Stay Gold Collection designed by Melody Miller with Ruby Star Society for Moda Fabrics ... love it! The colors and prints are bright and bold - just so fabulous!
GO! Night Star Quilt 46.5" x 46.5"
You may have noticed I used the GO! 8" Qube dies, but used the GO! 9" Setting Triangles ... that is because there is 1" sashing ... so the larger GO! 9" Setting Triangles are needed. I share some fun little math facts in the FREE GO! Night Star Quilt Pattern ;)
Usually, I avoid "on point" quilts because of the quilty math required for Corner and Side Setting Triangles, so I'm really excited about these BRAND NEW AccuQuilt GO! Dies! The GO! Setting Triangle Dies are available in 4", 6", 8", 9", 10", and 12" sizes (here) - yay!!!
I chose to use (3) different border prints and I love it! I think the colorful borders make the quilt even more fun looking! Plus you can rotate the quilt so your favorite border is on the top or side or bottom.
If you want see my GO! Night Star Quilt "in person" check out the AccuQuilt Release Video for the new GO! Setting Triangles Dies.
I took so many photos of my GO! Night Star Quilt as I'm totally smitten with it. I'm going to have to make another one because the original quilt is at AccuQuilt.
Let me know if you love making "on point" quilts! They take a bit more "brain power" when sewing, but I do love the finished quilt! The AccuQuilt GO! Setting Triangles will make it so much easier!
Have a great day and happy quilting!
Melanie

I machine pieced and quilted the GO! Night Star Quilt on my Janome M7 sewing machine, which I LOVE! It pieces and quilts perfectly!

I really love the bright orange fabric for the binding - such a fun pop of color!
