Just Makin' It Cute - Heart's Delight

It's time for the Makin' It Cute - Heart's Delight Remix with Fat Quarter Shop!

Have you seen the cute Makin' It Cute templates by Me and My Sister's Design - Heart's Delight, Petal Pack, Butterfly Bliss, and Smitten for Mittens. The reusable plastic shaped templates are perfect to embellish quilts, bags, scrapbooking projects, even headbands and apparel. They are great to use individually or layered together.

I chose to use the three smallest templates from Makin' It Cute - Heart's Delight with Badda Bing fabric to sew my daughter a cross-body bag.

How I made it:

Heart Templates: I chose to use Heat 'N Bond for my hearts instead of batting since I was attaching them to a bag.

Choose 3 Charm Squares for hearts.
Trace heart template to paper backing of Heat 'N Bond Lite
Fuse Heat 'N Bond to wrong side of Charm Squares.
Cut out hearts
Layer, Fuse, and Stitch (in layers)

Bag:

Cut (2) 8" x 10" rectangles from bag exterior fabric
Cut (2) 8" x 10" rectangles from bag lining fabric
Cut (4) 7.75" x 9.75" rectangles from Shape Flex SF101 Interfacing. Fuse (1) interfacing rectangle to each exterior and bag lining fabric.
Cut (1) 2.75" x 40" from Shape Flex SF101 Interfacing. Fuse to strap fabric.
Cut (1) 3" x WOF from strap fabric
Cut (2) 3" x 4" from strap tab fabric

Assemble with favorite zipper pouch pattern.

Tip: Apply Fray Check to end of strap knot.

My Makin' It Cute Heart's Delight Bag is ready for use! It's the perfect size for carrying Skye so she can "be there on the double" :).

I had so much fun making this Makin' It Cute Heart's Delight Bag for my daughter! She loves it too! Maybe we need Mommy/Daughter matching bags :)! Plus the Badda Bing fabric is the CUTEST!
