Flamingo Fever Shortcake Quilt

Happy Tuesday! It's the perfect day to share my latest quilt....Flamingo Fever Shortcake Quilt! I used my ADORNit Flamingo Fever fabric (along with a few other ADORNit fabrics from my stash) mixed with ADORNit Burnish Gray fabric for the background and I love how the fabrics look together!!!

This was the first time I have sewn Cluck Cluck Sew's Shortcake Quilt Pattern and it will not be my last...I LOVE it! I'm sure this pattern makes all fabrics even more fabulous!

Supplies for Shortcake Quilt - lap size
1. ADORNit Flamingo Fever Fabric. I cut my yardage into 2.5" strips to make my own jelly roll
2. ADORNit Burnish gray - background
3. ADORNit Gingham Watermelon- binding
4. ADORNit Daisy Spread Red- backing (This is only $6 per/yard on sale...yay!)
5. Shortcake Quilt Pattern - Cluck Cluck Sew

-Be sure to use coupon code- ADORNIT25  at www. ADORNIT.com to save 25% off...yay!

Just look at these fabulous blocks... plus a close up of the fabric!!! Flowers, Pineapples, Gingham, Strips....LOVE!

Be sure to check out the ADORNit Outlet/Sale Fabric section...it is fabulous! I've purchased quite a few backing fabrics from the sale section and they are quilt shop quality (just older collections- but still awesome). I used Daisy Spread Red fabric for backing this quilt.

I've had a great time being an ADORNit Ambassador for the past 3 months...it went so fast! I love all the fabric that I was sent (and purchased including the clothing). Just because my "official" time is ending doesn't mean I won't keep sewing with ADORNit ;) !

Beach Mix Quilt with Fort Worth Fabric Studio

Happy Friday! I'm so excited to share my Beach Mix Quilt today!!! I created the Beach Mix Pattern after Fort Worth Fabric showed me the summery RJR Beach Bash fabrics!!! The bright colors and tropical patterns of this fabric collection just shout summertime! I kept the Beach Mix quilt pattern simple so the gorgeous fabrics can shine. Have I mentioned the Beach Mix Pattern is FREE....yay! Just download the pattern at Fort Worth Fabric Studio- here.

Fort Worth Fabric is offering the RJR Beach Bash fabrics in a Beach Mix Quilt Kit!!!! Available here. The kit purchase price is $39.95- which includes all the fabric to make the full quilt top AND binding....yay!!!

Supplies to make your own Beach Mix Quilt. Finished size 48.5" x 60.5"

1. Beach Mix Quilt Kit - Contains all RJR Beach Bash fabric for quilt top AND binding
2. RJR Darling Dots Peridot - 3.25 yards for backing *This backing looks perfect and I LOVE it with the binding!
3. Beach Mix Quilt Pattern

A bit more about the Beach Mix Quilt Pattern

This is a great beginner level pattern that is quick and fun to sew! The large blocks make cutting and piecing a breeze. This quilt can easily be finished in a weekend....so it will ready for the beach or picnic in no time! I love a simple quilt pattern that allows the fabrics to stand out! If you have any questions when sewing the pattern - please ask!

I really wish I was able to bring this quilt to Hawaii for photos....that would've been perfect! So you will just have to imagine tropical flowers and palm trees in the background :)

Luckily with my Beach Mix Quilt- I can pretend I'm on the sandy beaches and smelling the tropical flowers.

Looks at the gorgeous fabric swirl the quilt top makes....

Be sure to purchase your Beach Mix Quilt Kit at Fort Worth Fabric Studio - here - before they sell out! It is the perfect summer time sewing project!!! The vivid colors are so happy!

Hello Lovely Blog Tour with Amanda Herring and Riley Blake Designs

I am so excited to be part of the Hello Lovely Fabric Blog Tour with Amanda Herring and Riley Blake Designs. When Amanda first shared sneaks of her newest fabric collection,  Hello Lovely- I knew I had to have it! I love the colors and floral prints....this collection just makes me so happy!

I have been wanting to sew Quilty Love's Triangle Hexies Quilt and the Hello Lovely fabric is just perfect for it! I am loving all those triangles...plus no Y-seams!!!

Supplies:

Look at all these lovely triangles...

Sewn together!!! Hint- make sure you have a true 1/4" seam- if you use a scant seam then you might loose your points.

All quilted....my go to.... stippling!!!

I am seriously loving this quilt sooooo much!!! Thank you Amanda to having me be part of the Hello Lovely Blog Tour! I am absolutely loving your Hello Lovely Fabric collection! Thank you Riley Blake for sending me the beautiful fabrics to sew with!
