Hello Quilty Friends! It is time to DAZZLE ! I'm excited to share my newest quilt pattern: Dazzle Quilt PDF Pattern - available Etsy or PayHip! The Dazzle Pattern is a block based pattern so you can easily adjust the quilt size by making more or less blocks!
I chose the Dazzle Quilt Pattern for the BRAND NEW Stitch fabric collection designed by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs because the Dazzle Blocks are large so the fabric designs stand out plus I could use 27 of my favorite prints!!! Just look at all the fabulous Stitch Collection.
Dazzle Quilt - all the details
76.5" x 76.5" - Yes... it's a big one, because I just love Lori Holt Stitch and wanted a large cuddly quilt!

If you have eagle eyes - you may notice that I didn't use 27 different prints for my blocks and my sashing was scrappy, this is because I received advanced yardage of Stitch so I didn't have as many prints and needed to adapt my quilt. BUT I think it looks fabulous. So don't be afraid to use what you have at home to make your quilt project work for you!
- Half Square Triangles: I recommend using a Bloc-loc Half Square Triangle Ruler for trimming the blocks OR the AccuQuilt Half Square Triangle Die for a no-trim method.
- Pins are your friend for perfect points - my favorite ones (here)
- Measure your Dazzle blocks BEFORE cutting sashing. Due to seam variance, your Dazzle block might not measure the same as the pattern. That is OKAY. Just measure all your blocks and trim to the same size and cut your sashing length to the same size. Example: Your blocks measure 20.25" inches instead of 20.5" - so cut your sashing length to 20.25"
- Measure your Dazzle quilt center BEFORE cutting borders. Due to seam variance, your Dazzle quilt center might not measure the same as pattern. That is OKAY. Measure your quilt center and cut border length per your quilt measurements. Don't forget to remeasure quilt again once side borders are added so your top and bottom border strips are cut correctly.
I had originally wrote the Dazzle Quilt pattern for Quilt Fair designed by Tasha Noel for Riley Blake Designs, but I just couldn't wait until fall to make this quilt! I'm thinking I might need to make a Dazzle one block baby quilt next!
Taking a picture of the full quilt was a bit tricky as it is 76.5" x 76.5" plus it was a bit breezy. But I got one... yay! Though my teen quilt holder said his arms were getting tired. Who needs the gym, when you can be your Mom's quilt holder instead ;) !
I'm loving the addition of the Sweetwater personalized label to my quilt backing. Plus this Lori Holt Bee Basic Handmade fabric is the PERFECT backing for the Dazzle Quilt - Stitch.

A beautiful quilt with all this lovely fabric. Love how you can see all the different prints - and the backing with your label is just perfect.
