Prim and Proper Sew Along - Week 6

 

Hi Quilty Friends! Today we are sewing the Prim Star Blocks for the Prim & Proper Sew Along with Fat Quarter Shop! This stunning block takes a bit of time to sew, but it's so beautiful!!!

I'm loving sewing the Prim & Proper Quilt- I love all the variety of blocks! I can't believe we are almost done with this beautiful quilt!

I'm making my Prim & Proper Quilt with mixed Lori Holt collections as I couldn't pick just one! Yay for scrappy sewing with Lori Holt Fabrics...here's a peek of the fabrics I will be using!

I love how all of Lori Holt's collections mix so well together plus Riley Blake Designs prints fabulous designs on quality fabric! Check out all of Lori Holt's fabrics available at Fat Quarter Shop (HERE).

Sewing Tips:

1. Use Alphabitties. They are so helpful in keeping your fabrics organized!

2. Use pins so your points match up. Magic Pins are my favorite!

3. Press press press with your iron! I also use a Riley Blake Designs Wooden Clapper for flat seams!

4. For the half-square triangles - trim your blocks with the Bloc-loc half square triangle ruler OR use the appropriate size AccuQuilt half-square triangle die for perfect blocks with no trimming.
