Hello fabric friends! I'm so excited to share a brand NEW pattern - the Twinkle Quilt with the lovely Kindred Spirits -Anne of Green Gables fabric by Jill Howarth for Riley Blake Designs. I loved reading Anne of Green Gables as a girl and just recently listened to the audiobook version - I don't think you are ever to old for Anne and her adventures!
Kindred Spirits -Anne of Green Gables fabric is full of florals, text , stripes, and of course Anne! I designed the Twinkle pattern with a large block center, which is perfect for fussy cutting this delightful fabric!
"We ought to always to try to influence others for good. " I LOVE this!
Twinkle Quilt
Twinkle Quilt finishes at 50.5" x 60.5", but can easily be made larger or smaller by creating more or less blocks! I love block based patterns for this reason! Plus Twinkle Quilt Pattern is on sale for $5 (here) for one week - yay!
The Twinkle Quilt is also perfect for scraps as each block uses (3) different prints plus the background. You could even go super scrappy and use scrappy low volume for the background.

I purchased my Anne of Green Gables book at Amazon (single or set)
I loved mixing and matching the Kindred Spirit fabrics for each of the blocks! When I use just one fabric collection or designer then it's controlled scrappy, which is my favorite :)
I love the Kindred Spirits Pink Stripe fabric for the binding plus it matched the soft pink floral outer border perfectly! Stripes are almost always the answer for binding fabric ;).
Did you love (or still love) Anne of Green Gables as a child? I'm looking forward to sharing these books with my daughter when she gets older - plus now we have a Twinkle Kindred Spirits Quilt to cuddle with while we read! Quilts and Books - yes please!
I decided to make a scrappy patchwork backing for my quilt - I LOVE it! I felt like this quilt needed some patchwork :).
Have a great day and happy sewing!
