Let's get Cutting: Flamingo Fever Quilt 27" x 34"
1. Cut Panel to 22" x 28.5". I chose 9 squares and centered prior to cutting panel to size. Example: 2.5" of blue floral panel background on top and bottom and 1.5" blue floral panel borders on sides.
2. Inner Border: Cut (4) Jumbo Black Strips 1.25" x length of fabric. Make sure you cut the fabric as shown in image above.
3. Outer Border: Cut (4) Birds of a Feather Strips 2.5" x length of fabric/width of fabric. Be sure to plan your cutting if you want your flamingos to be standing upright. I fussy cut my flamingos too- just center the flamingo using a 2.5" ruler when cutting. I use this Creative Grids Ruler.
4. Binding: Cut (4) Mini Gingham Watermelon Strips 2.5 x width of fabric.
1. Sew (1) 1.25" Jumbo Black Strip to each side of panel- trim to length after sewing each strip
2. Sew (1) 2.5" Birds of a Feather Strip to each side of quilt - trim to length after sewing each strip. Be sure to watch flamingo placement so the flamingos stand tall :)
