Happy Friday!!!! Have you seen the super cute bundles that Jodie at Fort Worth Fabric Studio creates each Friday? These bundles make Fridays even better :).
This week I was able to create this mini quilt with the Hometown Ride Bundle.
I love this bundle!!! Super cute houses, bicycles, dots, stripes, text AND in pinks, grays, and whites!
I knew I needed to fussy cut the houses and use the pink stripe for binding!
This bundle includes ALL the fabric you need to make this mini quilt/table topper or pillow! I have a little tutorial below so you can make your own.
Mini Tutorial for Hometown Ride Mini Quilt
finished size 18.5" x 18.5"
Cutting
Step 1: Cut (4) 6.5" square blocks. I chose to fussy cut the houses.Step 2: Cut (16) 2.5" squares to make the corners of the larger squares. I chose the bright pink.
Step 3: Cut (45) 2.5" squares to make the nine patch blocks. I chose random prints.
Step 4: Cut (4) 2.25" x 21" to make binding. I chose pink stripe.
Step 5: Cut (1) 4" x 21" AND save 1 full fat quarter to make backing
Sewing
Step 1: Make 4 snowball blocks by placing one 2.5" square in each corner of 6.5" block and sew on the diagonal.
Step 2: Trim 1/4" inch away from sewn line and iron. Repeat for all 4 snowball blocks.
Step 3: Sew nine patch blocks by arranging (9) 2.5" squares. Repeat for 5 blocks.
Step 4: Admire your 9 blocks :)
Step 5: Arrange blocks as desired and sew together.
Step 6: Piece backing.
Finishing
Step 1: Quilt as desired. A piece of scrap batting works well for mini projects.
Step 2: Bind
Step 3: Enjoy!
