ByAnnie White 24" white handbag zipper and bonus zipper pull

ByAnnie zippers are my absolute favorite zippers! The quality is fantastic and the wide zipper tape makes it SO EASY to install! Also I super love the large zipper pull!

Goodness Grows Pattern #4 Grow Gratitude

I absolutely LOVE the Grow Gratitude Block! The flower is just the sweetest! The blue petals are a bit small so definitely use your pins to line up the seams! This block would make an adorable quilt or table runner - just make multiple copies!

I'm using Lollipop Garden by Lella Boutique to sew my Goodness Grows Quilt - I just LOVE this fabric! It is just the sweetest!

Farm to Garden Table Runner

Hi Quilty Friends! Today I'm finally sharing my Farm to Garden table runner! I've had mine finished for a few months and have been enjoying it on my dining table, but forgot to share my blog post - oops!

I absolutely love Garden Variety fabric collection by Lella Boutique for Moda -okay - I love all of her fabric designs! The colors, sweet florals, and bees are perfect for spring!

I used the Farm to Garden Quilt Kit from Fat Quarter Shop - but instead of making a wall quilt - I chose to make table runner. I LOVE a table runner with flowers on my table!

Let's chat how I made my Farm to Garden Table Runner  - finished size 14.5" x 52.5"

Supplies:
Let's start sewing!

  1. Sew (6) Farm to Garden blocks.
  2. Sew blocks together to create (1) row.
  3. Cut (3) 2" x WOF from background fabric to make 1st border around blocks. Piece together and attach around blocks.
  4. Cut (3) 2.5" x WOF from Navy floral fabric for outer border. Piece together and attach around table runner.
  5. Quilt and bind as desired.

I used my left over charm squares and background fabric to create a fun pieced backing. I actually love it so much - I'm thinking I will write it into a quilt pattern! Plus now my Farm to Garden Table Runner is reversible - yay!

Farm to Garden Kits are still available at Fat Quarter Shop and come with all the fabric you need (except I purchased extra fabric as I LOVE a striped binding) to create this fun project! Of course- it looks awesome as a wall quilt too!

Have a great day and happy sewing!

Woven Stripes Mini Quilt - Maxie Mail Sewing Subscription Box

Hello Sewing Friends! I'm excited to share my Woven Stripes Mini Quilt from my June Maxie Mail Subscription Box. Woven Stripes is a fun pattern that uses striped fabrics to create a mesmerizing design!

Don't worry - even though this quilt looks complicated - it's NOT plus Maxie shows you tips and tricks! Hint - use your your Fussy Cut and Square-up Ruler set and your Strip Stick from your Cool Tools Box from May!

Let's chat more about the June Maxie Mail Box-

What's included:
  • Legendary Art Gallery Fabrics by Pat Bravo - Fabric for Quilt top, backing, AND binding!
  • Gutterman thread
  • Make it Simpler® Fusible Interfacing
  • Olfa Rotary Cutting Blade
  • Pattern plus Video
  • Tea
Let's start making our Woven Strips Quilt!

First - admire the gorgeous fabrics! I just love the feel and quality of Art Gallery Fabrics! Plus the top floral is my favorite!!! Wouldn't it make a gorgeous whole cloth quilt or dress or shirt for myself?!?!

Before I start cutting or sewing my Maxie Mail project, I ALWAYS read through the included pattern and watch Maxie's videos. Her videos are so helpful and explain every step! I love being able to learn new sewing techniques every month.

Tips:

  • Use your your Fussy Cut and Square-up Ruler set to trim your blocks. The  lines on the ruler - make it super easy! The Fussy Cut and Square-up Ruler set is absolutely amazing!!!
  • If you haven't changed your rotary blade in a bit - do it! A sharp rotary blade makes it so much easier to cut your fabric and trim up your blocks! Plus Maxie included a new blade in your box - hooray!
  • Use up your batting scraps by fusing them together with the Make it Simpler Fusible Interfacing. You can machine quilt over the interfacing just fine - no gumming up of your needle!
  • I chose to add a zipper to my Woven Stripes Quilt so it could be a pillow too! I love a versatile project!

Don't worry - you can still order the June Box and sew yourself a Woven Stripes Mini Quilt. You will LOVE it!

Unboxing Video:

I enjoy receiving my Maxie Mail Subscription Sewing Box each month! I love how Maxie always teaches us a new technique and includes the supplies to make the project! It is truly a "class in a box". The Maxie Mail Subscription Sewing Box is great for anyone who loves sewing and quilting! I love how I can take a class right in my home! Plus the projects are always useful and beautiful!

Midnight Rose Tulip Tote with Riley Blake Designs

I'm so happy that I was able to sew a new Tulip Tote with the fabulous Midnight Rose Fabrics by Gabrielle Neil Designs for Riley Blake Designs. The prints are absolutely gorgeous plus there is metallic!!! The fabrics is beautiful and paired so nicely with Riley Blake Linen!

Since I only used a few of the prints from the Midnight Rose Collection - let's looks at all of them. They are stunning and a definite must have!

It has been a bit since I've sewn a bag so I was happy to make myself a new one! I just love the tulip-style top! I'm quite sure anything you sew with the Midnight Rose fabrics will be fabulous!

I did a bit of machine quilting prior to assembling my bag. I love the added extra touch! I decided on straight-line stitching on the Midnight Rose Fabrics and cross-hatch stitching on the linen.

Here's a sneak of the inside - I love using a lighter color fabric for my bag interiors! Plus I absolutely love this fabric collection so I needed to use another print!
