I modified the interior pocket to be larger and used the extra interior fabric and bit of the panel...love it!

Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt - Kitty Corn

It's time to share my Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt with the super cute Kitty Corn fabric! Seriously those cute spooky retro kitties are so fun!

The Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt is perfect for all those 2.5" mini charms in your stash OR you could always cut your own 2.5" squares. Plus Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt is a FREE pattern by Fat Quarter Shop (here).

I did add two borders to my quilt PLUS made it reversible! Keep on reading for more details :)

Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt

• Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt Pattern 
• (4) mini charm packs OR I used (1) Kitty Corn Jolly Bar so I could fussy cut the kitties and use the left over fabric for the backing
• 1.5 yards background - Silky Bella Solids Chantilly Off White Silky Yardage | SKU# 9900-200S
• 1 yard border - Kitty Corn Ghost Twilight Garden Yardage | SKU# 31172-11
• 0.5 yard binding - Kitty Corn Bubble Gum Party Plaid Yardage | SKU# 31174-12
• 3 yards backing OR pieced backing with left over fabric AND Kitty Corn Panel  Kitty Corn Multi Quilt Panel | SKU# 31170-11

Border Time:

Cutting instructions 

• Inner Border: Cut (4) 2.5" x WOF strips - Silky Bella Solids Chantilly Off White Silky Yardage | SKU# 9900-200S
• Outer Border Cut (5) 4.5" x WOF strips - Kitty Corn Ghost Twilight Garden Yardage | SKU# 31172-11 Note: Sew all (5) outer border strips together. Measure quilt center. Cut (2) border strips to length and sew (1) strip to right and left and side of quilt. Now measure quilt width. Cut (2) border strips to length and sew (1) strip to top and bottom of quilt.

Reversible Quilt:

When I saw the cute Kitty Corn Multi Quilt Panel | SKU# 31170-11 -  I knew I wanted that included in my quilt backing. When I make pieced backing - I started adding left over binding and border fabric to the sides of the panel until I reached the desired backing width. Then I did the same to lengthen the quilt backing with the leftover Jolly Bar rectangles and background fabric. I just love a reversible quilt!

I absolutely loved my Mini Charm Chiffon Quilt...it is such a fun pattern!!!

All the Trimmings Stitch Along

Hello Stitching Friends! I'm sharing the sweet little ornaments I made from the All the Trimmings Stitch Pattern with Fat Quarter Shop (free pattern here). The original pattern is a larger stitch at  92w x 120h, but I chose to stitch just 1 motif per week and made tiny ornaments - love it!!!

 I absolutely loved making these All the Trimmings Ornaments. I am so excited to add them to my Christmas tree. I just love them soooooo much!!!

I really enjoyed stitching on the 25 count Basalt Splash Lugana...it's such a fabulous fabric. I think the tiny splashes look like snow! It's definitely my new "go to" Christmas fabric!!!

GO! No Sew Floral Magnets

Hi Crafty Friends! Today I'm sharing a fun crafting project that doesn't use your sewing machine...what?!?!  

We will be creating the GO! No Sew Floral Magnets - free pattern HERE. 

The GO! No Sew Floral Magnets are the perfect crafting project to make with your young crafter. My daughter loved creating with me and was able to do the project 100% herself. Yes - she is 7 and she already knows that she just needs to choose her favorite GO! Die and cutting mat and start cutting! I love how safe the AccuQuilt GO! Cutters are ... NO bandaids needed for young fingers (or yourself ;) ).  Can you guess which flowers she designed ? Hint...she loves glitter.

• Magnets - I bought these ones from Amazon *Be sure to watch your younger crafters around magnets.

The free pattern is full color and will show a picture of which dies I used plus cutting instructions to create each flower. 

Tips for your GO! No Sew Floral Magnets

• The Aleene's Felt & Foam glue works best if you let your floral foam designs dry overnight. The glue dries clear and the foam is securely glued. 
• After letting your floral foam designs dry overnight THEN add the magnets to the back
