Charm Pack Tree Skirt - Little Tree

Are you ready to start sewing for Christmas?!?! I personally love sewing with Christmas fabric year round as it is my favorite! I've been wanting to sew a tree skirt to replace my old Target tree skirt from many years ago so I was excited when I saw the new Charm Pack Tree Skirt Pattern from Fat Quarter Shop! I love it!

The Charm Pack Tree Skirt only takes (2) Charm Packs! So I grabbed (2) Little Tree Charm Packs and got to sewing! I love how the Charm Pack Tree Skirt looks like a flower! I'm thinking this would make a super cute quilt too if you didn't cut out the center!

Time for sewing

The piecing of the quilt top is super quick and easy - love that! It was a bit nerve wracking to cut a square in the center of my quilt and a slit down the side. I definitely read the pattern a few times and measured carefully BEFORE cutting. The most difficult part is binding ALL the angles as most were not the usual 90 degree angles quilters are used!

I am so excited for Christmas decorating so I can use my new tree skirt - do you think May is too early ;).  My family thought it was so I tried wrapping the skirt around a tree, which looked hilarious as it was super thin. What you don't wrap tree skirts around outside trees ;) ????

Since wrapping the tree looked a bit silly - I tried to artfully lay the tree skirt on my favorite fence, which was tricky too. It was an absolutely gorgeous day outside - I love late spring so much!

I think another close up of the Little Tree fabric is needed as I absolutely love it! Luckily I believe you can never have too many Christmas quilts as I need at least one Little Tree Christmas quilt.

Don't forget to purchase your Charm Pack Tree Skirt Pattern, (2) favorite charm packs - I love Little Tree, background fabric, or Charm Pack Tree Skirt Kit with Sweet Christmas and start sewing! You can totally make this adorable tree skirt!

Have a great day and happy sewing!
