Hi friends! I've made the most perfect bag for traveling adventures ... the Traveler Bag is designed by Sallie Tomato exclusively for Missouri Star Quilt Co . This bag will carry all of your essential items and has such fun details! To make sewing the bag easier - there is an exclusive kit available at Missouri Star Quilt Co plus an instructional video. I looooooove this kit!
The Traveler Bag measures 8-1/2" x 6" x 3/4" finished and features a passport holder, ID pocket, exterior slip pocket, an interior zipper pocket, and card pockets.
The kit has everything you need to get started! Pattern, postage stamp cork, brown faux leather, lining, fusible interfacing, vinyl, two sizes of zippers and all the hardware.
I highly recommend purchasing the Traveler Bag Kit because EVERYTHING you need to make the Traveler Bag is included! All you need is your sewing machine and thread.

Let's look at all the amazing Traveler Bag features .....
Open up the flip lock for a passport holder plus a vinyl id pocket.
The reverse of the bag is a magnetic closure storage pocket. Plus look at the amazing cork fabric ... it's so awesome to sew with!
Sallie Tomato hardware and zippers are my absolute favorite! The quality is fabulous and looks so professional.
Once you unzip the bag ... inside is a zipper pocket plus card pockets. You will be so organized!
My tips for making your Traveler Bag
- Purchase the kit. It is so nice to have everything included so you can start sewing right away!
- Watch the Traveler's Bag video on the Missouri Star YouTube Channel. The video is super helpful! Sew along with video ... just pause the video for each step.
- 40 wt Polyester Thread is my favorite for bag construction.
- 90/14 needle
