Hi Quilty Friends! Today I'm sharing my Tip Top Quilt made with the most beautiful fabric: Splendor! Splendor is the newest collection designed by Jen Allyson for Riley Blake Designs and it is one of my favorites! The beautiful spring colors with florals plus a fabulous text print makes me happy and calm!
I love making the Tip Top Quilt as it is fairly quick to sew plus it uses 2.5" strips! Don't worry if you don't have any 2.5" strips as you can cut easily cut them from yardage using your AccuQuilt GO! 2.5" Strip Cutter or Creative Grids Stripology Ruler.
A huge bonus of the Tip Top Quilt is there is only ONE seam to match in each block .... so minimal pinning is needed!
Ready to make your own Tip Top Quilt 56.5" x 56.5" :
Supplies:
- Tip Top Quilt Pattern PDF available HERE
- (36) 2.5" x WOF strips - Splendor by Jen Allyson for Riley Blake Designs (shipping to stores soon)
- 1 yard Background Fabric- Pin Dot Peony by Lori Holt for Riley Blake Designs
- 0.5 yard Binding Fabric - Riley Blake Designs 1/8" Stripe Peony
- 3.5 yards Backing Fabric
Since the Tip Top Quilt is block based, you can easily make your quilt larger or smaller by adding more blocks OR add a border for a quick way to enlarge your Tip Top Quilt!
I just love all the Splendor Fabrics together....so gorgeous! Plus I had to use my favorite Riley Blake Designs 1/8" Stripes for the binding. It is my favorite striped fabric!!!
Splendor fabric will be shipping to your favorite quilt shop soon! I have a few scraps left as I cut my strips from yardage so I'm thinking a matching patchwork pillow will be perfect to make!
Don't forget to purchase your Tip Top Quilt Pattern HERE so you can make one (or a few) Tip Top Quilts too! It is the perfect quilt pattern when wanting to make a lovely quilt to gift!
