Hello friends! I know - this has been a crazy blog week :) - but you will want to keep reading and see all the photos of my Modern Triangles Quilt with the stunning Juniper fabric by Jen Allyson for Riley Blake Designs! Just look at the gorgeous black, white, and gray fabrics with METALLIC! It is awesome!
With gorgeous prints and metallic fabric- I knew I wanted a modern quilt pattern that kept the fabric pieces large. The Juniper fabrics are just meant to shine! So Modern Triangles Quilt was the winner!
Modern Triangles Quilt is a great beginner triangle pattern as you only sew 4 rows of triangles with lots of negative space (solid fabric) for your eyes to rest. But don't worry - you can always add or remove triangles rows until you are happy! I love this simple Modern Quilt! Plus Modern Triangles Quilt Pattern is on sale for $5 for the next week (along with my other patterns - yay!)

- 10 - ¼ yard cuts (for triangles)* - Juniper by Jen Allyson
- 3 yards background - Confetti Cottons Iron
- 0.75 yard binding - Juniper by Jen Allyson
- 12” 60 Degree Equilateral Triangle Ruler – Creative Grids Ruler recommended
- 5 yards of backing fabric - Kisses Riley Gray
- Aurifil Thread - Dove Gray
*Consider additional 1/4 yard cuts for more variety.
For my Modern Triangles Quilt - I chose 1" straight-line quilting and LOVE it! I rarely do straight-line quilting on a large quilt as it takes forever- but it was a must for this one! The Aurifil Dove Gray Thread was a perfect match too!
I totally must share the metallic striped fabric I used for the binding - it is awesome! The metallic print is stunning! I machine bind all of my quilts and love the look of the "top-stitching" on the quilt front!
BONUS PROJECT -
The Juniper Fabric Collection by Jen Allyson for Riley Blake Designs release in April. Fat Quarter Shop will be getting the entire collection - so keep your eye out for it!
I loved creating my Modern Triangles Quilt with Juniper fabrics. It is one of my favorite quilts and matches my modern style home! My daughter and I loooove pink/purple, but the boys in my family were happy for a neutral quilt ;).
Don't forget to purchase your Modern Triangles Quilt Pattern while it's on sale for $5 (I also marked my other patterns for $5 too - yay!) - Available here.
Thank you so much to Riley Blake Designs for sending me the stunning Juniper Fabric to sew with! It is complete sewing happiness!
Have a great day and happy sewing!
