Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt

I can't believe it's almost the end of the summer! But I think my Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt with Clementine fabrics just shouts summertime!!!

Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt is a free pattern at Fat Quarter Shop and features large blocks that show off fabric prints so nicely! It is such a fun quilt to make!!! After all, a Ferris Wheel quilt should be totally fun to make!

I just love the bright and happy prints from the Clementine Collection designed by Melody Miller with Ruby Star Society for Moda Fabrics

56.5" x 70.5" *Note - my quilt blocks are a bit smaller (14" vs 17") than the final pattern as I had a draft pattern

Supplies:

Making your Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt larger (Twin XL no borders)

Fat Quarter Shop updated the Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt Pattern with multiple sizes! I chose the Twin XL format with 20 blocks and no border. I love it!

Fat Quarter Shop also has a Fat Quarter Ferris Wheel Quilt Kit available featuring Northern Lights by Annie Brady for Moda Fabrics. So perfect for Christmas!

I decided to make a scrappy backing with the left over fabric scraps! I LOVE it!  I'm even thinking of writing a quilt pattern for it too! I love a reversible quilt!

I love all the free quilt patterns that Fat Quarter Shop shares!

  1. Love how you have used the leftovers for the backing! I had not thought of using the "cut-off" hsts before, but that is a great idea. Plus, piecing the additional yardage. I will have to keep it in mind for the future.
