Chloe & Friends Collection

Hi friends! Today I'm excited to share all the fun projects I sewed with the newest collection designed by Melissa Mortenson for Riley Blake Designs: Chloe & Friends! This sweet collection has sweet Parisian kitties, florals, geometric designs, and text that is available in three colorways. Of course, I had to choose pink!

Supplies:

Crossbody Zipper Bag

When my daughter saw the fabric, she immediately requested a purse with the cute kitties! She loves all animals and pink- so it's the perfect collection!  She chose her favorite kitties and then we fussy cut the bag front and back panels. This is a larger cross body bag so she can fit her Beanie Boo plushie and other small toys in it.

We are both fans of ric rac and Lori Holt's Vintage Trim is the best! I love the quality and colors- so adding ric rac was a definite must!

I chose the white french text print for the bag interior as I always like a light colored fabric for interiors. The lighter fabric makes it easier to see what is inside your bag! I also love the ByAnnie handbag zippers as the larger zipper tape is easier to install and the larger zipper pull is easier for little hands to open/close.

Bear Paw Mini Quilt / Pillow

I love sewing the Bear Paw Block - it's one of my absolute favorite quilt blocks! I love the opportunity for fussy cutting favorite fabric prints plus the points of the half-square triangles looks so sharp!

This sweet little project can be a mini quilt or a pillow as I added a zippered backing - I love having options!

I used my AccuQuilt GO! for making my block as I love prefect points plus you don't have to trim your half-square triangle blocks, but of course you can also make your block traditionally as well.

Options:

Zippered Project Bags

I wanted some vinyl project bags to store my cross stitch projects, quilt blocks, patterns, and tools so I made myself two. I will definitely be making more soon - they are very addicting to sew!

I used the ByAnnie Vinyl, which is awesome! It is very easy to sew with and doesn't stick to the items in your bag! I also used the ByAnnie handbag zippers for this project too as I just the larger sized zipper!

I chose to free motion quilt the back of the bag and LOVE it! It's definitely worth the bit of extra time as you see the quilting through the front of the bag as it's vinyl!

I used a combination of Fat Quarter Shop's video tutorial and Pouch with a View Pattern by Three Owls Handmade to create my vinyl zippered project bags.

I absolutely loved sewing with Chloe & Friends! It's such sweet fabric! Here's a peek of the full collection if pink isn't your favorite.

Chloe & Friends will be shipping to your favorite Quilt Shop this month! Do you have a favorite print or color way???
