Honey Run Patchwork Quilt

I'm so excited to share my Honey Run Patchwork Quilt!!!! I absolutely love this adorable Honey Run fabric by Jill Finley for Penny Rose / Riley Blake Designs- it is full of bees, florals, honeycomb, and gingham!!!! So much fabric happiness!

Honey Run's four colors (white, yellow, gray, black) were perfect for making a fun patchwork quilt with a gradient of color! Patchwork is such a classic design that I love!

This flowering tree gorgeous and just perfect for photos! I love springtime!

Honey Run Gradient Patchwork Quilt Details
Finished size 52.5" x 64.5"

Supplies:

Cutting and Sewing Time:

I chose to cut my blocks at 4.5" squares instead of the Simple Sparkle pattern suggestion of 5" squares. I like the slightly smaller size of the squares plus I have a 4.5" square AccuQuilt die so I knew I could cut all (208) 4.5" squares quickly and accurately! I love my AccuQuilt GO! so much!!!

The layout of my quilt is 13  x 16 blocks. I arranged 4 rows of each color - starting with white then yellow then gray then black. I made sure to mix a few colors up as I liked the surprise pop of color!

I just love the diamond bee fabric for the binding! Plus stippling was a must as it makes the quilt so comfy and cuddly! This is going to be one well loved quilt!

Here is another look at the lovely Honey Run fabrics - do you have a favorite print or color?

Honey Run Fabric will be available at your favorite quilt store this month! I'm quite sure I need to sew a patchwork pillow to match my quilt! I just love this happy fabric!

Have a great day and happy sewing!

  1. Sunshine and bees buzzing lazily about is what this quilt reminds me of. Love how you did the colour layout - with a few pop of colours throughout each section. Now I'm looking forward to Summer :) - though I don't want to hurry Spring yet, which is slowly unfolding in our area.
