Maxie Mail Subscription Box - April

I just finished sewing my April Maxie Mail box projects!!! I love how each box is a "full class in a box"....this month is all about Tube Method Sewing- which is basically magic sewing! I even made a few bonus projects from the video with extra fabric!

The April box contains: Two Pillowcase kits, Splash Olfa rotary cutter, Thread, Pattern, Video, and goodies. It has EVERYTHING you need to complete two matching pillowcases!

Let's get sewing.

I highly recommend watching Maxie's video on Tube Method Sewing...even if you have sewn this method before. She has great cutting tips plus adorable bonus projects!!! I've already made my daughter the skirt...more on that in a bit ;).

A closer look at the gorgeous Peppermint Rose fabric by Verna Mosquera and Free Spirit Fabrics- just about ready to cut. I love a beautiful border print...they create such fabulous projects!

Time to get rolling.....seriously...it is magic sewing.

After sewing just a few seams...you will have two matching pillowcases with finished seams- no raw edges here!

The Peppermint Rose border print is amazing! I love how all three fabrics complement each other!!!

Ready for some fun BONUS projects. Maxie has extra fabric and/or kits available here.

When my daughter saw me open the box...she instantly wanted a skirt! I used the Peppermint Rose Border fabric and Peppermint Rose Rosette to make this quick and easy skirt. I used the tube sewing method for a finished hem and the free Simple Skirt pattern from Dana here.

The border fabrics is sooooo perfect for this skirt! This skirt is a size 6.

Tube Method Sewing --- perfectly finished seams at skirt bottom.

I did use my serger to finish the side seam and hem band....I love how it looks.

Bonus #2

Since I used the border print edges for the skirt....I needed to use the middle of the fabric- no waste here! It was perfect to sew the sweetest baby bib. I love the soft roses! The bib backing is Riley Blake Gingham that I had in my stash.

I used the free bib pattern from Nana Company and chose to stipple the bib together. I love how the quilting adds such a special touch!

Maxie will also be posting an Apron pattern soon using the Tube Method Sewing....I'll be making that too!!! I'll share that soon :).

One of the most popular ideas was the "Cool Tools" or notions box and I jumped at that because, as a quilt shop owner for over 13 years, I know what tools are most valuable and useful and I know which tools are a waste of time and money. So...here it comes, with over $80 worth of super products! I think you'll love May's box and the accompanying video that will explain each item inside. It's not too late to sign up...just click here! The cut off date is May 22, but waiting too much longer might delay your shipment by a few days due to stock levels on hand. (Boxes normally ship on the 25th of the month.)

I just loved my April Maxie Mail box!!! Learning new sewing methods and tips is my fave! Plus I have beautiful projects too! I'm sooooo excited to for the Cool Tools Box for May!!! Subscribe here.

Have a great day and happy sewing!
