Blogger's Quilt Festival

I'm excited to enter in Amy's Blogger's Quilt Festival! I love how she brought the festival "back to the basics" by having just one post and random winners. I think this is perfect as each quilter has their own unique quilting style- which is what makes quilting so awesome! Plus you can enter up to 2 finished quilts...that was the tricky part...choosing favorites ;). Check out Amy's post here for all the details.

For my first quilt I chose my Meadow Dovetail quilt. I chose this quilt because I think Camelot's Meadow Collection is my favorite fabric collection all year! I just love the colors, prints, and the deer! The deer are extra loved by me as we have deer in our yard almost daily!

Close up of the lovely fabrics. Yes...I fussy cut those deer.

Another bonus was I had this Michael Miller Brambleberry Ridge purple (my fave color) deer fabric in my stash....which was a perfect match for the backing. Plus I used a free pattern for this quilt that really shows off the lovely prints of this collection.

Quilt Details:
Finished size: 57.5" x 70.5"
Fabric Used:
Pattern: Dovetail
Backing: Michael Miller Brambleberry Ridge

Thank you to Amy for hosting Blogger's Quilt Festival!!! If you want to see more of my sewing adventures - follow me on Instagram @mellierc or here on my Mostly Crafty Blog.
